Anybodie can be a Dj . :D
Roben (06/11/2010)
People are delusional, they think because they can get a bit of hardware to mix two tunes together whilst they just drag and drop, that they there-for must be ‘cool’.

Even using 2 x CDJs is easy and boring. I need at least 3 just to keep myself entertained, even then i still feel held back and limited.

What would be really great is some how geling 3 cdjs on 3 mixer channels and the 4th channel being used for Ableton based stuff with attached sampler and a midi keyboard.

That would be my ideal to be honest.
You can do that with THE BRIDGE !

have you got any mixes uploaded of you (NOT) using software, considering the last time i saw your studio you had 4 CDJ’s and 2 Decks would love to hear what you can do.

Personally, I think anyone can be a DJ.

i’ve been saying that since i joined this forum. anybody can do it. all you need to know is how to count. and you learn how to beat match by counting. sure thats pretty general… but i bet a 6 year old could learn dj hero.

Sure Jon! I put a 3 deck mix up on here ages ago, hold on…

Things are a bit more elaborate when it’s me and Justin DJing together, he uses 2 decks and I use 2, effects unit and a Q2 DJ unit so we can monitor what we’re doing seperatly.

The only software we may use is mixedinkey and that’s just to find out the key of tracks so when we’re layering up 2 / 3 / 4 tracks at the same time we know they wont sound out of key. It’s easy for things to get messy and f*cked up if you don’t have an idea what key your tracks are in when doing this.

Howie - Anyone can learn to do anything with a little time, patience and practice.
