The guys at Twisted Groove Recordings will be releasing the Are We? EP early September. It’s a three track release with We R Not taking centre stage, followed by the We R Not edit of Bodydrop; two tracks that’ll mix in well together on any DJs playlist. The final one on the release is Continuum.
Here’s what Twisted Groove says…
Out on the 5th September on all good download stores and quite possibly one of Twisted Groove’s finest release so far, and most certainly one the nicest Progressive House releases this year, Block.Punch has really shown his amazing talent in production with his EP ’ Are We? '
3 tracks that are rhythmic and melodic yet are extremely club worthy Progressive House anthems!

02: Bodydrop (We R Not Edit)
03: Continuum (Original Mix)

Congrats dude! We R Not is still my favourite track from SA Members, hope it goes well for you!
goodluck with the release dude
Fair play Jon - Best of luck with it man!
Congratulations bro nice choons
Well done Jon!
Awesome! I’ll be sure to grab some copies when they’re released. Couple quick questions: How/Where did you learn how to produce? And, how long have you been producing?..I tried to look for your bio but couldn’t find it anywhere
BTW just sayin, I really liked the artwork for your EP
congratulations mang! The tunes sound great! I’ll also be purchasing your EP!
Thanks guys. I’m looking forward to this release. The guys at Twisted have been really responsive and on top of it, so I’ve got a lot of hope they’ll do this EP proud with their promotion.
@P-shot: I’ve been producing about a year and a half I guess. Started with a Tenori-on would ya believe and demo’ed Ableton so I could record and tweak from the TO. Liked it so much I bought it and here we are. I learnt to produce mostly here, plus books like Rick Snoman’s and Mark Adamo’s. As well as some music theory ones too.
@Mistropain - thanks, I picked the image and the missus designed it all. She’s pretty good, eh?
Congrats my friend - way to go - us SA Tech guys are on a roll
…oh can I borrow your missus
I do hope you mean for design! :w00t:
Thanks. Hopefully we’ll all achieve whatever it is we want to with our music. That’s the thing right? Me, I’m hoping at some point a major DJ will pick one of my tracks and use it as a staple on his/her set list. To see and hear it being played out to a big crowd and watch them going nuts, that’d be awesome.
Errr yes design thats what I mean’t honest
My dream is to play my own tracks and see the crowd top themselves on mass :):D:w00t::hehe::P;)
You need to give out free Koolaid then. I’ve heard that works.

She’s definately talented dude! Though cant lie and say I took much note of the work, more interested in the centerpiece…
Congrats & well done man, your tracks sound sweet!
Thanks for all the cool comments.
I forgot to add that the label is adding to its promo list, so if you’d like copies of the Ep to play out let me know. Just send me a PM and I’ll have them add you to their list.
just out of curiosity jon, do you master your own tracks or do the label do it for you? and if so what software is used, i been dabling with izotope ozone great for making tracks sound louder but have yet to figure out the subtleties envolved…
Hey mate, nope I just drop an instance of PSP Vintage Warmer onto the master channel and pick a preset that sounds close or spot on. Then tweak a little.
Then upload to soundcloud.
I haven’t bothered with mastering as it seems like the labels all want to do that themselves anyway. It seems like such a big job in itself I’ve got my work cut out just focusing on getting my music right without thinking about the technicalities of mastering it well too.
Im really liking that we R not track seems like you used some of the techniques from the progressive house tutorial
