I’m just wondering whats coming up Sonic… imo its been pretty poor recently, I havent watched anything new in a while, hasnt really got my interesting - maybe because I’ve moved anyway from ableton and what most thing are based on here.
So whats coming up?
Any chance of progressive trance in cubase 5 or 6 using external synths… no? didnt think so…
more advanced stuff that can be use across all daw’s please
Maybe Sonic team is on vacation or in the coma ?:hehe::blink:
ya ya Logic advanced tutorials and creating trance in Logic would be nice.
awaiting.
You of all people should know by now Wayne it’s not the DAW you use but the techniques shown, so regardless if something is shown in Ableton, you can still do the same thing in Cubase / Logic / whatever, just don’t be lazy and learn your DAW inside out.
yeah I know that mate but there are some thing you cant transfer - there are lots of plugin in ableton that cubase dont have for example and vice versa which is why I asked for stuff that can be used across all daws - so use of external plugins and fx’s for example. I watch stuff done in other daws all the time and seeing as I use 2 daw - yeah I know this m8. better then most.
But it would still be nice to see a trance tut in another daw like cubase, but thats just me. I think cuabse is much better then ableton so have decided to stick with it for the most part.
i agree i found it hard to transfer stuff from one daw to another when i subscribed.
yeah in principle you should be able to do it but that doesnt account for someone actually showing you
press this then go here etc
and cubase is quite fiddly to work things out if youre not sure
well I have both so rewireing is find. I guess I just havent found recent content useful tbh.
having used both daws imo cubase is better by far, its even sounds better and thats just the start but then again thats just my view, I’m still new to cubase.
what did u use before mate?
i stopped bothering with cubase and use ableton now
i cant be bothered to rewire tbh

I was going to say that i don’t care about Roben’s Post but he is right man .
I do work with cubase too and most of the stuff you can translate easily .
now if you have a issue doing it .might be because you don’t know your DAW yet.
it would be nice to have the next tutorial in Cubase!!! just to piss Roben off hheeh:cool:

Wouldn’t bother me to be honest, i’m pretty confident would be hard to find something that can be done in Cubase that i couldn’t quite easily replicate in Ableton.
but then the reason why i am more familiar with ableton is that there are loads more tuts on ableton
if there were more tuts using cubase and showing all the myriad functions that are shown in ableton then people wd know it better
thats what i was saying - a lot of things in cubase are hard to find until someone shows you
considering we only pay £100 or so, the content aint been to bad ;);)
huh, well I’ll be paying nothing pretty soon unless there is something worth watching!

Been banging on for this for months, so excited!
I think the site is one of the better ones on the net, but I have stopped my account for the moment. I’m saving the money that I spent here to take a weekend course at Dubspot. I think it will be worth more since I’ll get actual hands on experience.

who’s been asking for this?
there is 18 different people who have been posting in the clr thread , any news on whether that might happen??
theres also a liquid dnb thread thats going strong , is that likely to happen?

we are trying to strike a balance between what you guys want (mostly techno) and what is going to introduce diversity and attract new people to the site.
we will do more techno courses yes, but we just did one not so long ago - so for now we’re doing - bouncy filtered techno and im doing the cross over dubstep / pop sound that is very popular at the minute.
