Hows it going fellow academy members. I have a track that I’m putting out today to you guys before i start submitting it to labels A/R people. I have about 300 hours wrapped into it along with having it professionally mastered. br
This track was done with synths from SonicAcademy such as ANA, along with synth, reactor. If you have any questions on how I made a particular sound or did anything, feel free to reply i’ll gladly let you know how i did it. If it weren’t for sonicAcademy I would have never got this idea down in the first place. br
Feel free to listen to it, download it, share it… whatever you want to do. I’d love to hear your feed backbr

Hey Dudebr
br
Nice bit of work here, but there are some things that I picked up on.br
br
The snare sample that’s used doesn’t gel that well with the rest of the drums.br
br
The vocal lix could do with some gating/eq and a little bit of fx, they don’t sound that professional.br
br
The mix could do with a bit of work to help to keep it sounding clean, at the moment it sounds a bit muddy (this is probably my biggest gripe with the track).br
br
The arrangement could do with some work, it seems like its the same elements just repeated with nothing really new added to it, for instance the final chorus is the same as the first. br
br
On the plus side the builds are good and the different elements are nicely put together, it just needs to have more on the finish!br
br
I really hope this doesn’t get to you too much, the biggest improvements that I have made have always come from the guys on here.br

I absolutely appreciate the feedback. I completely agree with everything you said because they were some of my same gripes.br
br
I got the audio sample from a youtube clip was struggling to make it sound more professional. If i have one weak spot it’s absolutely my ability to work with vocals.br
br
I mixed them on a pair of m-audio’s and bounced around to some other sources. I couldn’t quite tune it in as well as I wanted. I got a pair of KRK rokit 6’s today I can see the difference they’ll make right away. br
br
I agree with the arrangement too. It got to a point where i had so much going on that it just made the mix muddier muddier. so i quit on it while i was ahead.br
br
I finished this track over a month ago was just waiting for it to come back from mastering. Since I’ve finished it I’ve taken a course in professional mixing along with picking up a ton of new gear. So i’m excited to put all this new knowledge to work. If i went back started to work on this one again i know i’d tear it completely apart and begin to rebuild.br
br
thanks for the input i’ll put it towards my next track. appreciate it big time.
