What would be the 3 things you would ask them to show you / teach you how to do.br
br
Give the Artist Name too.

Right now I would definitely love to learn how Daft Punk gets there unique vocoder sound. The way they do it on there new, ‘Get lucky’ single. I feel like theres a little gate effect going on? or maybe they just edited the audio after recording it.br

How do you manage to inject such groove into all of your tracks? br
Walk me through how you begin a track.br
What synths do you use for your basslines?

(1)nbsp; How do you get a really good groove going for a track?/PP(2)nbsp; Do you use loops, and if so where do you get those loops from i.e. what sample packs, old records etc?/PPI can’t really think of anyone question right now to be honest!/PPAnd also i don’t really have a favourite producer as such, i just try and focus on buying tracks that i really love but don’t pay too much attention to the artist most of the time!/PPHaving said that i do think some of Jeremy Olanders stuff is brilliant! There have been loads of calls for an Eric Prydz sound tutorial on here, so i think you should do a tutorial in the style of Eric Prydz / Jeremy Olander sometime soon!

Eric Prydzbr
br

  1. Mixing tricks that gets the track clean all over but phat and full.br
    br
  2. He achieves a really driving tracks with minimal sounds, he doesn’t have sounds all over the place but really all the sounds sounds big and full.br
    br
  3. Vocal processing and use of FX

I dont have a favourite artist, but at the moment I seem to be listening to involv3r a lot so I am directing these questions towards Sasha:br
br
-How do you approach remixing a track? Are there particular things your looking for from a track before remixing or is it a game of popularity the track has? Are there specific elements you like to retain from a track?br
br
-Whats it like running Last Night on Earth? Is there a set criteria your looking for when signing on artists?br
br
-How do you approach your compositions? Theres always a progression in your tracks, how do you approach getting that progression and moving from one texture to another?br
br
Technically 8 questions :stuck_out_tongue:
