Audien on Wayfarer: "It's not about the synth at all, it's how you process it." Ideas?

He said he uses Maserati GTi and other unnamed Waves plugins on his huge pad sound in Wayfarer. He mentioned that he used Soundtoys Phase Mistress on pianos, but…any ideas as to how else he might be processing those huge chords? I never knew it had very little to do with the synth itself…

I dont think that hes saying its little to do with the synth… you still have to get the right supersaw sound and ENV settings. i think he was just saying there isnt a massive difference if you use ANA, Sylenth Diva or whatever for the saws.br

Im loving UHE Satin on my saws… well on everything really.br
br
The Starting point in your mind should be… what do i want to do to these says… do i want them more crunchy. more attack, brighter, glued, more air, more space etc?. Then you pick the right tool for the job.br
br
A/B your sounds with a track you like… then ask whats different… what are the differences… are mine more/less aggressive are they brighter/softer etc.br
br
Unfortunately there is no one size fits all… even having soundss in a different key will alter what you do with them.
