(Yeah, yeah, I know… another Deadmau5 reference.)
It’s killing me trying to replicate the lead synth sound heard in Aural Psynapse by Deadmau5 (The one that kicks in at the end of the intro). It’s so clean.
What I hear are multi-voice sawtooths, with a squealy sounding attack in a sub-synth. Am I close?
In Ableton Live, I’ve tried hitting it from both the FM and subtractive angles, both using synth layering (using Analog and/or Operator. Don’t have Sylinth1). Using a super saw setup sounds just too smooth. His sustain peaks are nice and sharp.
Any ideas?
