There is a lot of discussion about big name VST’s but are there any also any great FREE VSTS or around £50 mark VST’s for FX/synths/processing ?
I have some of the bigger synths but just wondered if there are any hidden bargains out there to bring in something a little different sounding. Laidback Luke for example uses a free compressor with a name that is too long to remember.

PSP Audio have thier Master Comp compressor on sale at the moment ofr $99 normal price is $249. You get two versions, the master and the micro (for bus comression). Both sound really nice. There is a demo so you can try it out.

Id definately check out ASynth and Synth1, two great free synths. Also get a copy of computer music and get all the free vst’s they have in their CMstudio. Theres another great Synth in their the CM Genesis made by Ummet Ozcan.
It,s worth checking novation bass station a clone of the hardware version at £25 it is a bargain and TAL have some good free synths and fx
