Anyone know of any basic sequencer programs so while I’m at work and bored I can try out different melodies and stuff. Just to lay out midi notes and drop a vst over the top? This would actually be useful for several people. I obviously can’t install anything fully featured like an Ableton on my company lappy, but could get away with something pretty basic and a quick alt+tab finger
Not too bad. Nice link. Although i would love to focus on my composing and melodies so a piano roll would be huge.
yeh its got piano roll and automation.
Work through the wiki page and tutorials you can access through the help menu.
No, you right. This is amazing!
I love the “hardware” based workflow. Very intuitive seeing as how I’m more of a hardware guy.
You know, I have been looking for something simple like that to make stuff on my iPhone while im at work. Then it would be sweet to save it as midi for export. Anyone have an idea on how to do this or if there is something out there?
Take a look at Nano Studio for the iPhone, I think you can export midi using Nanosync.

That looks quite good but you have to purchase a licence don’t you? I see they do an “un-expiring valuation version” but do you know it’s limitations?
yeah the license is about $50 i think if your not earning over a certain amount using the program…although many people wrongly label it as free as it has no limitations or limited trial period.
