Bass and The Master Output

We’ve all heard that the secret to a good master is a good mix, the problem I’m having at the minute is that is trying to get a good solid bottom end. The content is there, I’ve layered a sub, mid and top all side chained and it still sounds weak. br

When i compare it to other stuff my bottom end sounds wimpy. I was wondering if anyone ever boasts the bass on their master channel? When i add just a few DB to the bottom end of the master channel it really made all the difference. Sounded a lot closer to my reference tunes.br

This doesn’t seem like good practice so can anyone recommend anything else? Can i boost the bass using a muilty band compressor?br

Thanks,br

Low end is such a bitch im trying to go the route of keeping it simple just seems the more you add and process the more of a cluster**** it becomes.

sometimes i would boost the bass in a multiband compressor while adding a bit of compression.br

what ever it takes to get it sounding good do it.
