i know this must sound very basic to you guy’s but i am a relative newcomer on the production scene and i just can not get this sound. i have found the htsl deadmau5 tutorial very helpfull in most aspects and am happy with my drums, snares etc aswell as the sidechaining effect but i still can not get close to this bassline/synth sound. i would really love some help on this please if you could guy’s thanks!!!

i am using ableton live 8, with sylenth 1, vanguard, mini moog & zebra cm as my vst’s. thanks once again! redge

seems to be just a simple sub bass, try layering up a couple Sine waves low in the mix and also putting a low pass filter on them,

add a touch of square wave if you want too.

most synths will have a sub bass preset in there for you

If you really want that sound just experiment with various bass sounds you have until you get the same vibe.

So its going to be a classic.

1+2+3+4+ beat.

put your kick on 1,2,3,4 and your bassline on the upbeats. On the +'s.

Snares or claps on 2 and 4

Hihats on 16ths

thanks guy’s
