Hi,br

There seems to be a lot of talk regarding getting tracks into the top 10 on Beatport. I’m just wondering if the top 10 releases is held in such high regard? Does it take many sales to get into the top 10 releases for a particular genre?br
br
I had my debut release on Sub-D Records last week and it’s managed to hit the top 10 releases in Progressive House and Electro House, while being number 24 in the top 100 house releases.br
br
To me this seems like a pretty cool thing to happen but I have no idea if this is even something to shout about? Is it a common thing to achieve a top 10 on Beatport releases?br
br
Thank in adavance.

I would say if you are hitting a top ten in any of the beatport charts then you should keep doing what you are doing!br
br
Thanks, I will.br

I guess the proof will be in the sales reports in a few months time - will have to wait and see.br

I’ve heard it’s perfectly possible to push your release to the top of the beatport genre charts with about 500 sales, even so, getting in the top 10 is not to be sniffed at! Give yourself a pat on the back
Yeah I know it doesn’t take a vast amount of sales to get in the charts on beatport - I won’t be giving up the day job thats for sure. br

My track has dropped right out of the top 100 now but I did manage 6 days in the top 10 (number 8 was the highest it climbed to) which I’m thrilled with for a first release.
Well done! That’s a fantastic achievement!
