I just been noticing that some of the track on beatport are more expensive than Trackitdown . the format is the same . just the prize. WTF?
i
Juno download for me. Not so much because of price, but I find it easier to find new music there.
I only buy on beatport when they send me a 25% off everythihng voucher to come back
Yeah, DJdownload.com is usually the cheapest (If they have what you want) it’s owned by Juno now anyway I believe.
Juno is best for discovery, plus nice to not just get all your stuff from beatport anyway.
Trackitdown is really good for hard dance, and compilations too.
Beatport is positioned as the premium digital retailer regarding dance music, thats why they charge up to 2.49 per mp3. Beside its marketing scheme, it is the same shhit with different flies.
p.s. please, some mod take this nonesense “curse words” filter out of this forum…
Trackitdown is good for the harder stuff i.e. hardstyle, hard dance, hard house etc. which beatport doesn’t really emphasize. Beatport is great for the house DJ as it has a lot of exclusive electro, tech, etc. tracks that none of the other cites carry. DJDownload is great money wise, but the last time I checked they didn’t sell .wav, only mp3. Juno is great, but for some reason, downloading a track from Juno takes my computer about 2-3 times longer to download as compared to Beatport or Trackitdown:blink:. Anyone else have that issue?
I won’t spend any money at Trackitdown anymore after buying a load of “original” classic trance tracks only to download them and find they had been cut out of mixed albums and either had the intros and outro’s missing or other tracks mixed into them. when i emailed them all they said was they couldn’t see what the problem was.
but i would say
Juno for techno
Trackitdown for Hard House, Hard Trance and that sorta thing
Audio Jelly for trance
Beatport for House
i use beatport i only really download techno and the only other site i go on is juno (i’ve never actually made a purchase though) but i find trawling through the piles of t*rd to find the gems really hard work on juno and lose interest in searching whereas beatport just works and i know t inside out i also have artists and labels saved so i automatically see the new releases which you cant do on juno (as far as i know anyway)
i miss the days of going round the record shops every saturday and trawling through box after box of vinyl i used to love it but somehow the same search on the internet is a huge chore lol

Totally agree - used to love hitting the west end and spenging far too much money
I have not been too Soho for a long time - pleased but actually quite surprised record shops can afford to still be open
I miss having the special imports saved for me behind the counter
The Internet Probably helped close down my little record shop, then I had no choice but to use the internet. I first started using tune inn then that closed. I have been using Juno ever since to buy wax and recently Juno dowload. I like Juno.

Yeah, me too. You start with one track, then follow the “People who bought this also bought…” and have a little musical adventure. Brilliant!
