I just recently picked this book up and can’t recommend it enough for someone who is looking to learn synthesis from the ground up. It’s written in such a way a 5 year old could understand it, which is perfect for me I’d check it out if you guys are looking for a good read.
I agree its a pretty good book if you are new to syntesis. But if you know you way around a syntesizer it’s not that much to learn from it tbh.
I guess I just wanted a more formal way to receive the information rather then “yeah just mess with it”
Rob papens 4 elements synth is awesome
I know it sounds a bit nerdy but I keep a notebook dedicated to each of my synths and when I learn how to make different sounds (synth leads, pads, arps etc…), I write down the steps that I used. I.e. I can always go back to the process that allowed me obtain a certain sound.br
