Evening! I couldn’t really find any topics discussing equipment for beginners – I am brand new to Sonic Academy, along with learning all about DJing.
I have been taking the time to study terms, trying to gain an understanding of all the different equipment available, the many programs…etc…etc.
But out of curiousity - if anyone can offer some suggestions regarding basic equipment one would need to begin learning hands on - it would be truly appreciated!
I am leaning towards digital DJing. I did a bit of research on Serato ITCH compatible products: The Allen & Heath xone DX was pretty out of this world (to a novice, that is) - I would like stay focused on quality products.
I’ll def. have to buy a new computer as well…any suggestions? Mac over PC or PC over Mac. I’ve owned both and like both…for DJing though - not sure which would be best. I’m sure it’s about opinion, but that’s what I’m asking for! 
I’d love to see what anyone has to advise regarding the vast selection of hardware out there.
