Hi Guys,
I am a DJ for about 3 yars and currently I have very much experience playing tracks on CD’s but I would like to learn how to play vinyls.
I want to buy myself a direct drive turntable for home use only (I know that for clubbing Technics are the best but they are expensive) My budget is 300$ - 350$ and currently my options are:
a) Stanton T55 USB
b) Reloop RP 1000 MK3
c) Omnitronic DD2520 USB
d) Other turntable around 300$
Please help my get a best buy.
Thanks,

That is a really difficult question to answer. Firstly the Stanton and the Reloop are belt driven turntables, not direct drive.
Learning to mix on belt driven decks is really hard - they are horrible - but it will make everything else seem easy (but you willl hate them).
If you have CDJ already I would rather go with one 1210 from ebay than two two of anything else
Belt driven turntables - I still have nightmares
I’ve a sh!tty usb one - have to stick a penny on the head so it doesnt skip.
Without it, the grooves in the record make it skip. Fkn useless. Spent 100 on it at the time… so what did I expect?! LOL
Going to get another 1210 at some point. Its the best.
Regardless - you can get good needles for it - maybe with the cheaper ones you are limited. The one on the USB deck is sh!t. Havent looked at the options to buy in OP guys, but whatever you do - check that out.
Need good needles.
Buy a 1210
Yeah your half way to a pair of secondhand 1210s I saw a pair of mk5s go for £418 ($673) the other day. I would save that bit extra. You know in yourself that it’s worth it. Or just buy one for now
I would also say that are you really sure you want to get into playing records if you have CDJs? Don’t get me wrong, I love playing records, I much prefer it to CDJs and it is a world better than a midi controller, and when you buy records you actually own something real.
But records are expensive, here in the UK new 12" are between £7-£10, you can get old ones cheaper, but once you have paid for postage they are still at least £4 each. Going to Phyonica or BM cost me around £100 and I do that once, sometimes twice a month. There will also be records that you will just really want, and they are always really expensive.
Then there is storage at home, that can become a bit of a pain. And moving house is a nightmare.
If I was starting now, I would save up and buy Pioneer CDJs.
I don’t have CDJ’s at my home but one of my best friends has a pair and a xone 92. I can go anytime an play at him. I spent my moneys on buyin a pair oh KRK rockit 6 and an Akai MPK mini but there are some old and new tracks you can find only on vinyls.
I also love the sound of vinyls so i don’t consider get mp3’s from vinyls. I just want to learn how to play them.
I don’t want to buy a pair of turntables right now, one is enough because I will go with it to my friend’s house and play records and CD’s.
So, my entire budget is 300$. I think it will be ok if i will buy Omnitronic DD2520 and new accessories.
cant remember how much they were but i had a pair of numark ttx1’s back along, really nice set of decks, nice lot of torque for scratching, LCD pitch indicator, pretty sure the most recent ones have a usb if thats something you need! you can also take out the pitch slider and move it to another slot if you have your decks in a ‘battle’ set up!
