However, they are too bulky for Skating, Snowboarding
and using at the gym.

in the top end price range “shure” would be worth a look
also have a look at akg in ear headphones
I’ve Sennheiser CX-300, of course they not HD25s, but at £30 can’t complain

I thinks its good to have many different sound sources to check your mixes.
e.g Studio, iPhone, Car stereo, radio speakers etc .
I have a set of Sennheiser’s cx200 that sound nice trouble is if i had the choice i wouldnt buy them again,they have x3 varied sized in ear fittings,none seem to fit mine properlly,they would fall out if i ran etc…maybe ive got odd ear canals :rolleyes::laugh:
lol I’d be worried if one fitted and the other didn’t 
you haven’t got average ears, that can only be a good thing
