Big, Fat, Subby, Kicks

In A LOT of electronic music now there seems to be a lot rave-style/electro house/ progressive house/club/EDM/big room drops that have this sort of big, fat, subby kick. I have been trying to grasp this concept for the longest time but can’t seem to imitate it. br
br
For example, in Martin Garrix’s song Animals at 1:30 you can hear this huge kick and a lead. The kick acts, at least I think correct me if I am wrong, as a the bass as well. br

Perhaps Sonic Academy can make a tutorial on how to create this kick while also demonstrating how to create these style drops. Where the kick is huge, fat, and subby, and the lead synth at the drop is wide and massive! I would appreciate it a lot, and I feel that a lot of songs are currently taking this route so this tutorial would be extremely helpful!br
br
Maybe you could demonstrate this with the new KICK synth in Ableton, or through layering or something?br

Hey man! i can tell you that Martin Garrix Sampled the kick from Sander van doorn’s joyenergizer; if you want to make the exact sound you should download the song and cut the kick from the drop, equalize it removing all the stuff on the high shelf and layer it with a click from any other kick you want (any sample pack will do).br
it’s pretty easy and there are tons of tutorials on youtube. also garrix explains it in one of his videos, hope this helpsbr
cheers

nice realy like the bass
