Big Trak

Anyone remember / had one of these?

I’ve got a memory of one with a trailer bringing a can of Coke or something into someone in another room. Dunno - Hazy.

Being rereleased again. Wanted one when I was a Kid - Saw it on Saturday Morning TV… but never knew what it did. Seems a bit boring tbh… But visually, it looked class! Haha!

It was a six-wheeled tank with a front-mounted blue photon beam headlamp, and a keypad on top. The toy could remember up to 16 commands which it then executed in sequence such as “go forward 5 lengths”, “pause”, “turn 15 minutes right (90 Degrees)”, “fire phaser” and so on. There was a “repeat” instruction allowing simple loops, but the language was not Turing complete, lacking branching instructions; the Big Trak also lacked any sort of sensor input other than the wheel sensors.

I remember that

The teacher brought one into primary school once, can’t remember what the class was about but basically we got to sequence in the instructions lol.

Cool.

My Son will probably love all that Cr Ap as he gets older… I’ll possibly end up with one by default.

All I had was a sock too play with :frowning:
