was just talking to a guy i know who works in our local game store and he told me that Black Ops is easily the most Traded or Returned Game ever.
My boy has also told me its not great online and it only took him around 3hours to complete it (wasn’t amused myself at that bit to be fair)
All the COD single player games have been really short though to be fair, it’s what put me off them.
They focus mainly on the online gaming aspect but it should be first person based first then a bonus to be able to play online.
That’s what other games do. Look at Half Life, they gave you a fair length of game play time then lots of mods for online play as an added bonus.
Bioshock 2 did the same, quite a long game then you get online gameplay too if you wish.
Anyways if people are returning Black Ops because they’re ‘dissapointed by single player length’, then they clearly have never played any of the previous CODs, as they’re ALL the same.
The guys behind Black Ops are shooting themselves in the foot because people are returning the game after completing it. Since it takes next to no time to complete, people are easily able to return within the receipt returns time allowance.
i think thats the point of people returning it, most got it for the online gaming but as that sucks (apparently) the next thing would be play the game but that is worse still.
I’m sure my lad will probably keep his but wow i really didn’t know that people paid £50 for 3 hours of gaming these days haha
Cod has always been about the online experience for me, never looked at the last couple in offline mode

I just play COD for the online portion. I have been killin it in Black Ops online.
I NEVER even try to play offline mode. I could care less.
I think its lots of fun, but to your point I dont think its as fun as Modern Warfare 2 was.
I will ALSO say that Black Ops takes more SKILL to play online then MW2.
I bet that mad kids are returning it because you actually have to have skill in Black ops instead of MW2 where kids could just site with a noob tube and grenade people the whole time. There is no stopping power on bullets either so it is tougher to kill people online.

I’ve paid for it and only because I wanted to play online, its a lot of fun to play online but is it worth the £35 bucks I paid…hummm, i agree with Rob regarding how long the single player game should last and that online coming second. I havent played it in single player yet but will.
Medal of Honor was great in single player, one of the best FPS i’ve played in a while but it lasted about 6 hours… I was like WTF, it that it… shocking I think. This was never that case in the past.
this is the first time i’ve heard a bad word said about it i bought it on the release day and have been hammering the online ever since in fact i’ve only had half hour on ableton in the last month lol
cant comment on the single player i’ve not even had a hour in total on it but what i’ve played was really good no matter how short it was but cod’s not about the single player thats just a little bonus when you’ve done 6 hrs solid online and need a change of scenery
medal of honour was dissapointing imo the single player was full of glitches and annoying and the mutiplayer just kept giving you the same maps time and time again (made worse by the fact there was only about five lol) much as i tried to love it and it was a missed oppurtunity for m o h to take cods crown it just fell to short and black ops just blew it away again thats just my opinion though different strokes for different folks and all that
i cant understand black ops getting much critism apart from being short cause i think its a good mark up on modern warfare2…
In my opinion, EA’s Battlefield Series easily trumps COD in the online player experience.
I prefer larger maps than what i have seen in the last 2 COD games … which seem to be small confined spray and pray maps…
Also, 32 players online is more interesting to me than 16…
you only play 16 when its groundwar and then really its 18.
normal COD gamemode is 12. 6v6
