Bounced Files Click/Pop

Hi everyone!br
br
I’ve decided to try a new work method, after seeing some producers doing this. But mainly to not consume as much CPU power.br
br
It goes like this:br
I create my music in Logic using Sylenth and Massive and other VST’s.br
br
When I have the main parts of the track down such as: br
Lead, Kick, Bass, Vocal, Percussion etc. br
I bounce these tracks without any effects, only with EQ’ing done to them.br
br
But here’s the problem… When I then load them into a new project, they pop and click at the end of the bar.br
br
I know that this comes from different volumes at the beginning and the end of the bar (loop).br
I’ve tried to use the “Fade in/out”-tool, but this sort of destroys the “movement” and feel of, for example, sustained pads and so on. br
br
Are there anyone who has this sort of work method? And if so, how do you do it?br
Any tips and trick will be gladly appreciated!br
Thank you!br

Not sure why this is happening, why don’t you try bouncing slightly more than you need and then cropping it to 8 bars?

I mean… that’s what I’m already doing?br
It’s seems rather weird? :S

Where you say you’ve used the fade in fade out tool, do you mean that you highlighted the start/end of the audio and selected fadein/out from the menu, or did you use the fades at the top of the Channel strip on the left? As they are more subtle.

I’m no audio expert, but it sounds to me that your sample is either starting or ending away from the zero-crossing point, which often causes clicks or pops as the speaker cone moves from an offset position right back to the zero crossing. See if the waveform is cut off out of phase from the zero-crossing line. If its a problem, you can trim the audio down to the nearest zero-crossing (when the waveform is at zero), which should eliminate the problem. Do this for one loop, and duplicate it across.br
br
This is a problem I used to run into when programming a sub bass. The waveform would reset whenever the note was released, causing a “pop” as the speaker reset its position. Turning up the release parameter on the ADSR just a tiny bit (not even audible) fixed the issue for me. Maybe this is happening at the end of each bar; if you’re using Logic’s “sample loop” tool to drag out a clip with MIDI information, it may cut this data off at the start of the next bar.
