Hey all,
So I’m just getting back into production after a while of not doing anything.
Been watching this about setting up a template and setting up busses etc.
Now I understand the need for busses etc but I noticed in the videos (think its this one or one of their other ones) that they setup Audio Busses AND they also group the certain parts together - hats, percs, fx, synths.
So they have group tracks and then they send those grouped tracks to the relevant audio busses.
Whats the point of that?
Arent the Grouped Tracks in affect a Bus group? Or is it best to just send the individual sounds to the relevant Audio Bus?
What tips would you give? Is Grouping the tracks together good enough?
You got to see it a bit in this light. (I think…)
When you group a few bass tracks with different synths and compress them to gel it together. You’ll have a nice & tight bassline.
Then you can send this group output to an audio channel that you then group along with the kick drum. This to apply a different setting of compression (or any other fx you’d like).
Ahhhh, spot on! Nice one. Thank you for that. Makes sense to me now!
