Buy melodies or create as a beginner

Hi guys,br
br
I’ve feel like a learned a lot since I got a subscription here. But one thing I’ve been struggeling with is coming up with melodies. You all would laugh at me if I posted them here. It’s that bad, I even laugh at myself. br
br
Anyway, I feel like im wasting my time trying to do this. This is how I do it now: I set my tempo, look up a scale, trying to make a melody, but as I said they are so simple(and bad) its not even worth trying to make a track of it.br
br
So I’ve been thinking of buying melodies, just to get the ball rolling. What do you guys think of buying melodies? If you “make it” the labels gonna give you melodies anyway right? br
br
Does anyone have any advice?

hey, I just got an idea…br
br
With the risk of sounding lazy, but is there any software that randomize midi patterns? It shouldnt be impossible to do. Like you decide the key you want it in, how many bars, chord or arpeggios, and all the rules there is in music theory and then click “Randomize!”. Ta-dah! A original midi pattern is created :)br
br
Is there anything like this on the market today?

.

Just use other peoples melodies and try to analyse them and then try to recreate them to your own melody!

thanks for the replies guys, rob that sounds awesome but my budget isnt that high yet. I bought a pack of samples now haha… I sound awesome now! lol.br

It was too easy actually, I feel ashamed, I don’t even want to say I did it. All I did was some mixing, arrangement, choosed a couple presets on my synth and VOILA! Ready for the radio :cool:br

Joke aside, I’m gonna work on creating my own. I’ll be back
