Hey Guys,
I have a rather simple question, maybe a bit naive… but I still want to ask it because I am rather new to buying samples and hopping for site to site without actually buying something. I at least, want to be sure before I buy.
I have noted the comment of Phil where he states Loopmasters and House vol 1 -2 etc. I wondered if you guys hold a certain criteria of minimum price for samples or the volume of the package?
The reason for this is that, like I said, I’m hopping from site to site and although a demo or preview sounds ok - good - or whatever, I have real difficulties with like small price, for instance $14.95 for a drum kit with 50 kicks, percussion etc. in a particular style. No idea why, but it sounds cheap and crappy. It’s like seeing a nice picture of electronics or other product in a webshop that looks solid, but when you receive it, its crappy thin plastic… that holds for like 3 months.
Well, you get the point. I just think I need some guidance in my thinking. I am not saying free or cheap is bad, but…
Well, enough. Thanks for listening.
Leon
hey man. honestly, i stick to www.loopmasters.com. they have a great selection of sounds too. I have my sample/loop companies that I like, but other then that, I dont really buy samples that have not been reviewed in a magazine and have gotten good reviews. on Loopmasters, you can search by “awarded products”. Those are the ones that I am more likely to get.
