thanks for the replies… il try new cables… if that doesnt work then it must be the soundcard… ahh… its basically a double phono to jack cable im using, because the soundcard only has phono out
Big thanks for the guy who recommended that ground loop isolator!!!
Was having issues with my monitors giving a buzz too, but this was resolved when the power from my laptop was removed. Had the inclination it was a ground loop problem but didn’t know how to fix it! Looks like that wee 3.99 bad boy should sort things out.

double phono to jack ? so two channels into one speaker? or do you have one phono hanging out of the soundcard.
you want one phono to jack cables.
also sometimes you get jack converters that plug into phono, if you are using one of those you may wanna check how tight the connection is. loose connections will cause buzzing.
double=2 phono plugs I think, i.e stereo
