I’ve been uploading some of my tracks to http://www.carbonlogic.co.uk and loving it so far I must say…
Basically it’s a completely free and independent music service where artists upload their tracks to the music community and users rate and comment on the tracks, and the top rated from the community and from admin of the website get put forward to seasonal releases. I’ve been getting a lot of good feedback so far. Very ‘Instagram’ style positive attitude rather than just chopping people down.
Then one track on this release will also get remixed by a famous artist (their most recent one being Telepathe with the release coming out in a few weeks).
But they also put forward artists for syncing, and a band called The Rash most recently got their songs played (and they also played live as a fictional band) on the Inspector George Gentley program on BBC1 which was aired on Monday!
Basically it’s a great platform for musicians to have their music heard, reviewed and exposed in many different ways. And it costs the artist nothing. And music lovers can know that there is a great hub for listening to great new music, whatever the genre.
Reckon some of you will be interested.
Smells like spam. One post and it’s for this, hmm…

Nope, not spam! I’ve been viewing the forum lots and love Sonic Academy. Have you seen this anywhere else online if you do a Google search?
If you actually click the site you will see it’s great and really can be another avenue for our tracks. Why the skepticism!?
And why would I want to promote something that is free anyway? It’s a benevolent music service for us.
We’re a skeptical bunch here
Aww, don’t be!
