Changing direction when

I’ve got this really bad habit of changing the sound/direction of a track half way through making it. I think I can improve the way something sounds or the arrangement of the bassline and then it all goes wrong and sounds worse than if I had of just left it along. It’s really annoying!

i’ve done this so many times its not even funny anymore

dunno maybe its something you should embrace, better to change direction than to have none at all?

If only it sounded better! Basically it sounded great in the first place but I thoughti could make it that little bit better and should of left alone. Tied ears doesn’t help either

Try saving multiple copies of a track as you work on it rather than rewrite each save over the last one - it could help you quickly undo a load of changes you didn’t like in one go. Problem is, of course, that it takes up a shedload of drive space…
