Sry for awakening a maybe dead thread but I came across here, spent a couple of hours reading through the whole thread and was surprised it suddenly ended in january… No sign of a tutorial as requested by the OP.
Anyway, I’m a (not too advanced) producer, an old bag from Germany, keen on gathering information on how to make some noise - the dark side with rumble, just like the many great examples posted here. Mainly I’m still searching for an insight of how to get theese rumbling basses to work with the kicks without sidechaining them to bounce like mad. And that atmosphere… We are not speaking about certain scales, aren’t we??? So I still wheren’t lucky to find a decent tutorial or anything similar on advice.
