Thanks slender! Of course, mention of the fee comes AFTER I join. haha…anyway, why can’t I get my avatar to be large? The picture I put up there is about 500kb big and actually I had to put it in where it says the member level pic should go.
It is backwards for me for some reason. Is there a special thing I need to do to get the picture to be bigger?
The Pic needs to be 150x30 Max according to the info in the load up panel.
I’d the same problem & had to mess about with it for a while.
In the end I loaded it into Microsoft Paint (or any pic editing /sizing program would do) & resized it.

I just don’t get it. I’m OK with Ableton. Anything photo or visual art? I turn into an idiot. 150x30 means it would be tall but skinny, right? Ugh, ok I’ll keep fooling with it. But I did actually have to link my picture for the forum ranking avatar to where the real avatar is supposed to be loaded and vice versa! It’s weird the way it is responding to me. I might continue this over at the user support area and get it fixed that way. Just like music that won’t work…it drives me crazy!

How about we all use our collective intellect and try to get the sounds and style without having SA do it for us?
Here…I’ll start with some ideas, more large scale:
- Often leaves out the backbeat (beat 2 and 4) or keeps it very quiet.
- Very present and active closed hat type sounds on the 8th and 16th all the way through, spread.
- Lots of granular synthesis, probably “send only” type tracks.
- Two-step kicks.
- Overdrive, overdrive, overdrive.
I think:
Saturation… Overdrive… Bitcrushers.
Reverbs with bitcrushers.
Loops.
Imagination 
Meth & Bucky
