Club Therapy ft Dan Diamond

let me know what you all think, I think its my best work yet, wish I knew how to master

:w00t:

The track sounds great on my speakers!

But I think you need to work little more on the mixing especially on the drum parts!!

The hi-hats almost disappear in the drums around minute 3.

In my opinion you have too much going in there

If I were to change anything in this track :stuck_out_tongue: it would be your snare :stuck_out_tongue: I would put 2 or 3 analog layer claps with a brighter snare with short attack and release  the current snare has too much bottom :stuck_out_tongue: and it competes with your lead , kick and basslines and it is kind of harsh or maybe that s what you were going for

So overall you got a solid remix , great ideas and great sound :hehe:

PS: I like discoduck

Good luck with the rest:)

thanks for the positive feed back , one of my problems is i get lazy and dont take the extra time to mix down levels and fine tune things. is a analog clap a sample recording from a analog synth?

The concept and ideas behind this are really good, however there is a lot of muddyness in the bottom end. I’d suggest high pass filtering everything that isn’t bass / kick or that doesn’t need to be in the bass end.

Your snare needs to be brighter, work an EQ and brighten it up, also bring up your level, maybe add a TOUCH more reverb.

Can’t really hear your hats, they are also too sitting low in your mix.

Concentrate on where each element of your track is sitting in the frequency range, then modify and work from there. If there are multiple things working in the same area they will be fighting for space, which makes things muddy. Remember, less is more.

thanks roben, i think i need to go back and tighten things up, although being 3:30 in the morning here in california i think im gonna call it a night, thanks again guys for being honest on the good and bad

I meant real recorded claps

Roben is right what I usually do is put each section or sub group in a channel

and run a frequency analyzer to see where the sound resides and I just use an EQ to remove unwanted or unecessary frequencies keeping space for the other instruments.

If you dont have a frequency analyzer  use your ears

and for mix the mix gets muddy only starting from minute 3  before that the mix is fine
