Great tuts! Like the tune in the sound absorber clips - maybe a how to in there.
Agree with jon - what’s the best placement for them.
Nice & easy Tut. Best Demo of how to make one that I have ever seen.
I’ve got most of the bits here waiting to go for a while now, but haven’t gone near it yet. I think Rockwool RW3 & RW5 is the equivilent one you want - the Slabs. Think its about 40 Euros for a pack of 8.
Slabs or Rigid is what you want… stay away from the roll.
The rigid comes in various density’s and thickness RW3, 4, 5, 6 etc.
A RW3 is probably best - For the Highs.
Lots of RW5 for the Bass in the Corners - with a gap behind for the Air to flow.
I did throw a bit of Hard Loft insulation Up on the walls & it really helped reduce the Echos in my 3m x 3m room. I put one infront of the monitor - slightly higher up.
Also another, above my head on the Ceiling! Still getting funny comments about that
I have a 2m Long & High Ikea Bookcase at the back - full of Books & Mags… which has helped too.
Finally, from what I can gather - Make sure the Material you use is not Shiny type stuff, as it’ll bounce back some of the Sound. Something Matt & porous, not too tightly woven is best. You also should leave a bit of a gap behind the Absorber for the Air to move.
Corners are the hardest to treat… thats where all the Bass builds up. You need some serious traps there if you want to Nuke your room totally, but I think it’s going the other way making your room too Dry. You dont want that either.
Thats one of the major problems of being in a BOX room - where the walls are equal. Ideally you want to be in a irregular / rectangular room as it stops all the Freq’s - called Nodes, building up on themselves.

got the wood from B&Q, and the material from Ikea.

Guys, this compression tutorial is one of the greatest tuts you ever made:D THANKS A LOT!!!
What is the name of the track in the introduction video for compression? Is there going to be a “how to sound like” on it as its sounds like a quality tune!!
