I haven’t no, normally when you get your track signed that’s enough evidence as there is legal papers which state the date etc.
However if it’s unsigned work you’re worried about there is a site that you can copywrite your tunes but at a cost per tune, unfortunately I can’t remember what it’s called now, try a google search.
This page should also give you some info:

pointless
Q. if someone rips off your track or downloads it illegally what are you going to do ?
A. throw a hissy fit, kick the cat and phone up a lawyer, be shocked at how much its gonna cost you to take them to court and give up on the idea
lol
Yeah Jon is right, unfortunately it would cost way too much in on legal costs that it actually wouldn’t even be worth it in the long run.
You could however hack their computer and destroy their harddrive / find out their IP which in turn should give you their location, pop around their house and give them a beating…
(please note that i’m joking and do not condone the practice of illegal criminal damage or assault. (even if they are illegally stealing your work))
lol thanks for the comments…I only ask as I used to do music with a couple of lads who where anal about copyrighting everything they done…We all went to L.I.P.A together and was told about copyrighting and that you can send a copy of your tune to yourself (recorded delivery) and if it ever came to it, it ‘could’ stand up in court…since doing music on my own I havn’t copyritten anything (sorry for the spelling:) an was just curious if anyone else copyright there tunes…Roben, I like you idea anyway IP address an a beating;)
yeah i could see that sending yourself a copy, so long as it was time stamped would prove copyright.
the only problem with that is, if your anything like me and completely forget about it and end up opening the package when it arrives lol
