hey guys looking for some info on copyrighted music…i did my little bit of research…so it seems u need to get the right from more then just the artist…any how…my question is this…how is there quit of bit of bootlegs out there 4 sale?or i think there bootlegs…i just bought some vocals from beat port and this made me think about this…can i use these in a track and sale it? my goal is to get a track sign and i missing with lots of sample…just wandering if im wasting my time?..ant feed back would be good
The terms and conditions regarding the use of the samples should be included with the sample pack you purchased. If these terms are non-existant, it’s possible that you are infringing on copyrighted material by using and reselling it.
For example on this page (of which I just used some samples from):
http://www.loopmasters.com/product/details/878/Iconical_Vocal_Acapellas
Note the text: “Loopmasters are proud to present the first in a series of royalty free full vocal acapellas from Iconical Music which feature the vocal talents of several talented singers which can be used by producers worldwide to create new and exciting music.”
Good luck!
If you buy acapella’s from artists on beatport they are highly unlikely royalty free.
Most sample packs/cds/dvds are royalty free. It’s all written down on the case or inside some document.
You are free to use all samples for your own productions as long as you don’t sell those productions. If you want to sell them, most owners of those samples want some money. If it’s royalty free, you are free to use them and make profit of them.
thanks guys!
