  1. How do you find out the tempo of a track in Cubase, when you have the stems loaded in for a remix?


  2. How do you know for SURE that you have found correct root key of the track from the main melody??

  1. trim the clip so that the first beat starts on the first bar. create an 8 bar loop and play the track round adjusting the temp until you get perfect loop. you can extend to 8 then 16 bar loops to make sure its looping perfectly.


  2. This might not be much help but i just play a low note on a bass or piano under the track and try a few different notes until it sounds best. (not very scientific but its what i do)
