CPU: Dual-core, Quad-core?

Hi,



I’m going to buy a new computer. Ableton Live is the most important for me on it.

I was wondering which CPU I should buy to get the best results in Ableton.



I’m thinking of these:

  • Dual core 1333MHz FSB
  • Quad core 1066MHz FSB



    Or do you recommend AMD?



    (I already have an M-audio audiophile 192, which I’m going to replace in the future for an Auzentech X-fi prelude)
