When I make a trance track, because there is so much **** going on I actually when the track is complete have to mix the individual group channels and export audio tracks. I then do the mixdown seperately so I can use all my mixdown plugs. I also do my mastering seperately so I can use all my mastering plugs. If I tried to do everything in just ONE project my computer would blow up…
Also wayne a little tip, any tracks that dont have a sidechain comp on them can be frozen. This drastically can improve cpu. You can freeze tracks that have SC on em just make a random audio/midi track and group it. Put the SC comp kn the group track and start freezing. This is what I do, especially with trance because there really is soooo much stuff going on.
