i have not used compression much previously and i think i need to start using this more, i try to only cut in eq rather than boost but my results are no even close to this,br
i understand mastering has a part to play but i want to learn more

Hi Lee, hope you’re well?br
br
A good place to start would be by watching this tutorial:br

br
I would definitely recommend watching all of the production technique tutorials though if you are serious about getting the cleanest sounding mixes.

if its about high cuts and low cuts etc i do all this at the moment,br
br
and always try to only use the best drum samples,br
br
i assume mastering has some effect of the overall sound, but i would think mixing and compression gets you close to a strong crisp sound
