Cubase 5 (Slave) Rewired to Ableton Live 8 (Host)

I’m pretty sure I know the answer is that it cannot be done, but just wanted to be sure.

Can Cubase act as a slave or is it only available as a master in regard to Rewire?

The Ableton Live 8 Power book says that Cubase SX cannot be a slave, but does not say anything about Cubase Studio 5.

I didn’t see anything on the steinberg forum. And no one has replied to the post I placed there.

I dont think it can… why do you need it to be the slave?

I wrote a song in Cubase, but just recently got Ableton and was thinking it would be quicker and easier to bring it into Ableton this way than bouncing each track down for stems in Cubase then having to bring the stems into Ableton. I needed to convert the song to Ableton because the person I’m working on it with just uses Ableton.

Just thought it would be a nice thing to speed up my work.
I did find out that it cannot be done.
