Cubase course

I duno if this is the wrong section to post this guy sorry if it is…

Im think of becoming a member for the year,it really does seem worth the money compared to other courses on the web, would any of ye know the duration of the cubase sx course please. Is it based on the structure of trance/house/drum&bass?

blackjack.

i’ve not really checked out the cubase tutorial before but if you’re thinking of becoming a member their are videos that cover house, electro, funky, tech, trance.

SA have some great one’s coming soon as well (the ones i can’t wait for)

sign up mate its a great community with easily the best tutorials, and probably the best £60 you’ll spend this year

just double checked and all seems to have 11 sections 9 modules and the track in the final mix is house

Cheers Jon,I think thats sealed it for me..Ive been using Cubase for such a long time now.Its one thing getting a loop down that I`m happy with but my sense of direction is completely lost as with layering and finishing a track down.my preferred genre is trance so hopefully sonic academy will dedicate time on a trance tutorial for Cubase in the near future…

Your dead right man its well worht the £60,i was on anjunabeats forum checking out what guys were saying about this site subscription, some argued the logic behind sonic just for the sake of it,others applauded it,the one comment that got my heart racing was the suggestion to get  professtioal artists like Above & Beyond to make a tutorial.Do you think sonic academy could accomplish that?

cheers Blackjack.

keep in mind that artist like that cost big money and sonic academy are a business, how ever im sure if the community was big enough to support this then SA would deliver. the reason behind future music and such getting artist in is due to amount of magazines sold and im sure if SA had 100000 members signed up on a monthly payment then they wouldn’t have problems with getting big name artist in.

as for the trance tutorial look at the live one i managed to work it into logic very easily.

will check it out when im a member at the end of the month cheers jon…

P.S do you have any tracks i can have a listen too?

blackjack.

hope you haven’t miss read my post’s and think that im a tutor lol as i am just simply a happy member of the board that wants to promote how good it is.

if you want to listen to tracks from the guys who do the tutorials just select the names of any of the mods on the board and listen to their tracks in the player some great talent and superb tracks.

lol nah mate i didn’t think you were a moderator…by any chance did you check out the bit size trance tutorial?

what program is it done on?

the trance one is done on ableton but like anything once you know your way round your software you’ll be able to use any of the tutorials no matter what software the tutor uses.

i for instance am a logic user and have worked found all of the tutorials helpful even the ones done with reason.

cheers jon

one last question jon…

am i allowed to download each of the videos from each tutorial? to my harddrive?

blackjack…

no as i remember it you get to choose 2 full courses to download to your hard drive and the rest are viewable online.

there has just been a prodigy tutorial uploaded and its the tits mate worth the subscription just for that video alone.

is it really that good prodigy`s tutorial? sound…
