im trying to get the trick working the guys on logic can do, where you select a piece of audio (sample…) and click adjust track tempo to sample length, or something like that, and the tempo of the track adjusts the set amount of bars of the sample.
i spose youd have to say this audio is 8 bars long, set the tempo to it or something. anyone know where the option to is on cubase?
What… like timestretch it out? Like Select region - hold & drag it out to wherever on the grid?
Is there a timestretching tool in Cubase? Or a shortcut list? Its been years since I used it mate. Does everything start with CTRL - “Letter” in Cubase?
There is a time stretchin option in cubase its the little arrow icon with a clock next to it. I dont think thats what hes after though, you need to be alot clearer in what you acually want mate. I read your post and didnt really understand any of it and i know Cubase…
na not any of that. i try to write it in english this time.
i want to import an 8 bar sample
select it
then make cubase set the global tempo of cubase to the tempo of whatever the sample is.
so you say to cubase this sample is 8 bars long. make the grid fit it correctly by changing the global tempo of cubase
but saying that i think i might have worked it out. you adjust the length of the sample to 8 bars. set the markers to its length, double click it so it opens the sample editor. then click hitpoints at top. then adjust the grid lines accordingly so they match up with the audio. it then shows you the tempo of the sample your looking at. then just type that in the global tempo of cubase in the navigation bar. cubase is now sync’d to the samples tempo
