Hi guys, just wondering has any of you updated your Cubase to the new 6?
Also dose anyone know what the difference is between Cubase 6, and Cubase 6 Artist.
In your opinion is it worth the few pound to update?

cubase 6 artist come with a paint program innit. I heard it’s twice as good at least as MS Paint.
Yep - I updated from 4 to 6 last week. I write in Ableton and mix & master in Cubase.
I eagerly opened it up and imported my audio files to find that my 3yr old PC very quickly could not cope…:w00t:
I’ve had to update my PC to work in 6. Not what I had planned for.
My new components arrived today. I build tomorrow.
Hopefully the new demands that 6 is requiring will translate to a better finished product.

I have seen a few screen shots and some simple stuff on youtube, it definetly looks alot better and seems to have a few nice additions.
Am reluctant to update/upgrade caz I have 32 bit macbookpro all working fine with untold plugs installed & authorized… C6 means snow leopard 'of course ! but I dnt feel like all that build just as yet…
Yes technology has to move but dam, I wish c6 was still mac OSX 10.5.8 compatible …

I am all for the progression of technology, but come on Steinberg give us a break!:crazy:
I have stuck with Cubase as it does sound amazing, but my simple $150 upgrade to 6 has now cost me $1000 +

I ordered the cd rom, dose anyone know if you can install the update from the cd rom on to a couple of computers??
I actually changed my mind in buying cubase 6. I purchased a bunch of plug ins and effect . wich i realized that i dont need anything new from cubase 6. i will try to buy it whenever i have extra money . just realized that is way to expensive to upgrade from 5 to 6.
considering its a new version/update, no harm to wait till they iron out the bugs… !
