I was thinking about this the other day, after having a friendly production battle with a pal. We both started off with the same set of drum samples, a few kicks and snares and a few bits of percussion. We then both set about making a tech house tune using two different DAW’s, me using Logic and my pal on Live. We decided that we’d only use what comes with each DAW to produce our tunes. We came up with two fairly different but decent tracks. It was a really interesting experiment and at points inspired plenty of creativity.
I was thinking maybe we could do something on here, the logic users teaming up to make a tune and the Live users doing the same, then say by a set deadline, compare the results. Maybe even try and answer the age old question which DAW!
Anyone up for it?
