Death to the LOL!

May I applaud you gentleman on the absence of the term “lol” on this forum. I refuse to participate in this sad pathetic new web speak. If I am indeed laughing out loud, you will be duely notified by me typing the acceptable “haha”.

As for the other terms, you know the ones! I have never rolled on the floor during a laugh and I haven’t pi**ed myself laughing since I was eleven!

Anyway thanks for not being Web speak cnuts! :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol

It was only a matter of time

I know it was obvious, but it had to be done. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next reply is pmsl

Surely noone would be that cruel …

PCAPOTFWLMFAO

Piss, Crapped and Puked on the Floor while laughing my ***** *** off.

Fair enough, we can all relate to doing that!

I am guilty of writing lol even when I’m not or have nothing else to add.

i do think LOL and HAHA have a place in internet txt though, sometime the reader can read something completely in the wrong way dependant on mood but by placing a LOL or HAHA at the end can often help the reader to re read the thread in a lighter mood.

Interesting point Jon. I know what you mean … I have been totally misread loads of times with my txt messages and emails. So many relationships could have been saved if I’d swallowed my pride and added a “lol”. … Oh well. :stuck_out_tongue:

True that what Jon just said ^^^

Anyways ‘lol’ isn’t new internet speak, it’s probably the oldest and most original term out there.

I use lol sometimes, but don’t really bother too much with things like cba, tbh, ftw, brb, etc.

When i’m not limited to text, I can actually just type it out, and when something is funny, i think ‘hahaha’ has more impact than ‘pmsl’ or ‘lmfao’.

lol ftw

I find that wnak, Fu@k c.nut have more of an impact anyway tbh,

lmfao lol :w00t:  :hehe:

what does FTW mean ? or should i say wtf does ftw mean lol haha brb

For the win (or for teh win if your a gh3y)

It’s more of a online gaming term, but then ‘tbh’ most shortened internet / text speech originally came from that avenue due to it being quicker to type whilst playing.
