Without using a de-esser, what would be your suggestion for best manual de-essing?
Do you recon putting a low pass filter on the Ts and S’s?
There is actually a preset for de-essing in ableton.
some producers cut up their vocals and go through each part that needs deEssing and pulls down that parts volume on the atcual audio file.

That’s what I have been taught to do as well.

Yeah i’ve heard this too, it’s actually what Chris Lake does. Thing is that I seen Imogen Heap doing something that looked like Low Pass filter, but can’t be sure for definite.
