I have a few songs I want to sample with but under the melodies is bass or kick drums etc - can you separate a track into parts - effectively dissecting the track into samples?
I’m assuming this is very hard work - is there software that could solve this problem?
not really… tho there are a few things you can do.
you can get rid of kicks using the sidechain on autofilter i do it all the time for live sets.
obviously filtering out the bass is easy.
there are also ways of boosting vocals using phase reverse… vocal needs to be mono. its a bit of a pain to do and has varying results.
