i just watched a vid showing DJ DLG and his live performance set up and was really interested to know how to get the scratch effect he has running and controlling with a korg nanopad.

Im not 100% sure how its done here but on traktor you can replicate the exact same effect as this with a gater chained to a filter.
mmm, ok will give this a go. Is he using a scratch sample and then the effects over that?
The gater effect you can get on Traktor as i have it and use it thru my Kontroller X1.
The only other thing to do is to get the sample yourself and mess about that way.
The overall video is really interesting, nice to see how people break things down, and the kill stop effect he uses is very nice.
Like that he uses filters to mix instead of volume, I like to do similar 
But… ha, that scratching effect is terrible, it’s about as realistic as one of those key chain things.
Yeah id say try a few samples…
Id reckon a sample of some white noise will get you pretty close to it.
