As a dj I have probably made the biggest mistake you could possibly make lol
Using traktor I accidentally stopped the track that was playing out then I panicked and loaded the wrong track into that deck which then changed the bpm lol
The rest of the mix was recorded at 128 instead of 135 lol all whilst is was recording haha
Just as well it wasn’t live because you can’t edit it lol

I’ve stopped the wrong CD in a club a few times, pretty embarrising, particurlarly when you get the chant/“ooooooohs” from the crowd lol
I reckon if a dj has not fcked up a set they are a liar
i had something similar when i just started using traktor, i’d load a new track in the one playing out… it was very annoying until i found out you could lock the deck playing 
Blowing amps back in the day was annoying
I had a mate that used To come round mine for a mix. When was in a mix he would leave his headphones on. He would then fade out the track that was playing and listen to the new track through his headphones lol he would turn round and I’d be pissing my self as the room was really quiet lol 
I’m pretty good normally tbh but everyone makes mistakes. Carl cox told me he makes 2 an hour. Well through a magazine

I’d a mate that used to be sh!t hot… he’d turn up at a party & get utterly mashed waiting for his slot.
He’d lose it on the 1st mix… y’d see him, going 1,2,3,4,5 erm…eh…aah… and then he’d start blowing and looking really confused. Every fkn time. Used to be hilarious to watch. He’d give up after the 1st trainwreck… sometimes the tune would finish & the next one on that side would start to play, so funny seeing his reaction to that LOL

When i first started DJing i was at a hard dance/trance night. The CDJ was on master tempo and seemed to be going really fast, so i just switched the master tempo off…
Lets just say the people looked at me like i was retarded cos the tempo drop was huge lol…
Also i once mixed a track in but i didnt have the cue of the second track in my headphones, so heres me thinking there perfectly beatmatched and i just broaght it in and thought WTF is thisssss…
TRUE STORY: I was in an act where there were two of us who dj’d together. We had a christmas gig in Amsterdam and I fancied some fresh air so went out the back of the venue and then the door shut on me leaving me outside in just a t-shirt in the cold and not able to get in. I went round the front and they wouldn’t let me in. I had to wait 4 hours until the end of the party when my partner was leaving. He was pissed off but so was I of course - i nearly had pneumonia. I had been wandering around the area to try and keep my body temperature up but ended up keeping myself warm in an alcove with some rubbish bags around me. Felt a proper tramp. I didn’t make that mistake again.
