Do you need an external amp for sennheiser hd 650 headphones?

They aren’t the loudest headphones but you shouldn’t need an amp in less you want to listen at super high volume.

Hello.

Most portable devices will not be able to drive the headphones at high levels. For this reason you may need a portable amp to achieve a suitable audio level.

I would strongly suggest the HDVA 600 but any amp with the correct output ports will do.
