Does this sound mixed ok? It is just an 8 bar snippet. Need to know if I’m on the right track (no pun intended) mix wise. Does everything sound clear enough? Should I continue this track? Help appreciated.

Wow, after listening to this probably hundreds of times while creating it, I just realized after having a few drinks…this sucks ***…back to the drawing board.
It sounds fine, the mix sounds spot on. It just needs more stuff. It sounds like you have listened to the same thing too many times.
If you don’t know what to do next to it, maybe lay out a rough arrangement, it might make it more obvious what it needs next.
Not sure if there is even a kick drum in there? But if there is it definately needs to be punchier.
And yeah, what Ant said is true, you probably think it sounds rubbish cause youve listened to it so much. It has potential for a good track, dont give up on it!
