If you’re thinking of buying hardware, avoid the DSI tetra… now the synth sounds great, 2 sub osc, feedback…makes nice basses etc… but the software is crap! On mac’s i think it works fine, few glitches, but on pc (im using Xp sp2…) no dice! So i bought this thing, get home and realise when i open the box, no USB cable!! For £550 they should provide one! Didnt see it mentioned in reviews that you needed one… would be nice to be prepared. For example the NI maschine costs less and comes with a cable. Anyway i had one, installed the software, was using in standalone and could not get it to work. Mouse could turn the GUI pots but had no audible impact on the synth. Turning the actual real pots ofcourse did work… to get any decent sounds out of this you need the software editor… full stop. So i try to contact the software makers… waste of time, worst support website ever. Still no reply…! I took it back for a full refund! Even dave smiths website is crap when trying to reach them,… these companies love to sell this stuff but there support makes it pointless! grrrrrrrrrrr (ps already ordered Dcam…)
